Client Challenges:
- Since the silo structure is supporting boiler, the detailing has to be full-proof and error free for safety.
- 1000 ton capacity steel detailing was critical for the steel detailers.
- Revisions in the native drawings were made last minute which were to be addressed to maintain quality of deliverables.
Our structural detailing solutions to client:
The steel silo for which the client company approached us was intended to carry 1000 ton of pressure vessel so the fabricator needed accurate detailing plans to avoid any safety risks. The Tekla structural detailing teams understood the requirements for the steel fabricator by delivering necessary technical construction documentations.
- Tekla detailers developed steel construction detailing plans for the silo.
- Reinforcements, supports, trusses and joints were carefully evaluated and detailing plans were prepared.
- Final fabrication drawings, steel shop drawings, erection drawings and installation drawings were prepared and shared with the client.
The entire project was finished during tenure of 45 days which has multiple quality checks and specified accurate BOMs and steel quantity, before sharing with the client. It helped the client save significant amount of time and costs which was eliminated due to reworks.
